Guillaume Apollinaire fue un poeta francés de fines del siglo XIX y principios del XX. Incusionó en el simbolismo, fue a la vez vanguardista, produciendo los caligramas o ideogramas líricos: poemas cuyo texto dibujaba el objeto al que el poema estaba dedicado, mezclando literatura y arte pictórico.
Lo vemos en la portada del libro y debajo, en el corazón que hace las veces de epitafio en su tumba, en el cementerio parisino de Pére Lachaise.

 Guillaume Apollinaire was a french poet that lived in the last years of XIX century and first decades of XX. His poetry was as symbolic as avant-garde, with his "caligramas" or ideographic poems: the text of the poem draws the object that the poem is referred to, in a mixture of literature and art.
You can see that in the book cover, and in the "coeur" poem that is the epitaph of his grave, at Pére Lachaise Paris cementery.
