Purgatorio Canto X: Hablar visible. Purgatory Canto X: Visible talk.

Estamos recorriendo junto con Dante y Virgilio la primera de las siete cornisas del Purgatorio (obviamente, cada una representa un pecado capital, en este caso, la soberbia). Suben con cuidado hasta dar con una pared de mármol blanco con cautivantes relieves tallados. Virgilio aconseja a Dante: "No pongas en solo un lugar la mente" (sabio consejo si los hay), y lo estimula a que mire: de la escena de la anunciación de Gabriel a María (que daría a luz a Jesús), pasa a la imagen de David guiando el Arca de la Alianza (ilustrados por William Blake). Dante queda subyugado por este hablar nuevo, hablar visible que cuenta historias a través de imágenes.

We are going through the Purgatory with Dante and Virgilio; through the first cornice of the seven (each one of them concerns to each capital sins; the first concerns to pride). They go up carefully untill they reach a big white marble wall with wonderful relieves. Virgilio advises Dante: "Don´t focus your mind in only one scene" (wise advice to give), and tells him to look around: from Gabriel´s announcement to Mary of Jesus conception , to King David  leading the Alliance Ark (both are shown in William Blake´s ilustration). Dante is captivated by this new visible talk, that tells stories with images.
